How often will we have lessons?
Lessons are typically once a week. The reason being is that it gives you a good amount of time to practice and work on the things we've gone over in the lesson (and it also gives you enough time to practice in case you miss a day or two of practicing) If you want to have an accelerated lesson plan, two lessons a week, please note that when we're discussing the logistics, and i'll see if I can fit it in my schedule.

What if I am late to a lesson? What if I have to cancel a lesson?
If you're going to be late to a lesson please notify me by phone or text as soon as you can. If our agreement is that I meet you at a designated place, and I am late to a lesson, I will either make up the time by teaching, or give a discounted lesson. My cancellation policy is 24 HOURS AHEAD. For emergencies, it will be handled on a case by case basis.

I've learned piano/violin for a little bit. How do we proceed?
If you've learned piano or violin previously, your first lessons will be more about assessing your capabilities and what you've learned so far. Don't hesitate to tell me if you have a preference as to what you would rather focus on - whether it be technical skills or musical interpretation. If not, I'll gear our lessons based on the assessment and where you might be lacking in comparison to your other skills.

Do you have a curriculum plan? Or should I bring my own?
If you have a preference as to what type of method or curriculum you would like to go through, I will be sure to make that a priority. Please tell me that either before your first lesson or no later than your first lesson. If not, I will have prepared different levels of curriculum that will be given to you based on your playing capabilities. Regardless, my first few lessons will consist of piano/violin basics - scales, arpeggios, warm-up exercises, hand or arm strengthening exercises, and relaxing exercises are some of the few things I will cover in all of my lessons. Basics are the bread and butter of music, in any visual performing art.

I'm a student and my parents say it's still too expensive. Can I still learn?
Yes! Don't let money come in the way of you learning music. Of course, I can't teach for free, but if money is the issue, I will do my best to accommodate your specific financial needs.

What's the best way to pay you?
My preferred payment method is CASH; however, if this is not preferred for you, I can also receive check payments. Please be aware that there will be a $25 returned check fee assessed to your account on all returned checks.
What's the best way to contact you?
The best way to contact me is by email (Please see Contact section) or phone (preferably text). I will give you my phone number through email, as I am not posting it online due to privacy reasons.
